Gary is the Co-Owner and CEO of M Dumas and Sons, a better men's specialty store on King Street in historic Charleston, SC.

​

Gary has been with M Dumas and Sons for 10 years and has helped evolve the business into a Southeastern powerhouse. The business has been on King Street for 109 years and is in its third generation of ownership with David Dumas being this generation's co-owner.

Gary has been in retail for 42 years. Starting his career at Nordstrom in 1984, he spent 27 years there learning the business from some of the best merchants in the country. He spent most of his time in the men's division and finished his time with Nordstrom as one of their first National Merchandise Managers. From there he spent almost 5 years at Hugo Boss as their SVP of Merchandising for North America and South America.

Gary's wife Heather and daughter Lila all picked up and moved to Charleston and have not looked back. When not working, Gary is an avid runner, golfer, motorcyclist, boater and horse property owner.
